The charcoal Bengal is darker than the traditional recognized Bengal colors. This results from a unique pattern effect that creates a shadowed look over their coat, often referred to as ''Zorro Markings". Charcoals have a dark gray or brown colored background, with little to no brown. Their spotting and rosettes are filled with an inky black color, as well as white markings around their eyes. The dark face mask is black, running from the nose bridge, to the nose, connecting to the mascara lines around their eyes, and a thick, dark dorsal stripe that runs along their back. They eyes are surrounded by white or near white ''goggles''. This gives them a wilder, exotic look. The tail is a dark brown, black, or gray with stripes and a black tip at the end of their tail. The charcoal comes in brown, silver, snow, do not only come in different colors, they can also have spotted, rosetted, or marble pattern.
